ABOUT OUR CAUSE

Sharing Table is the food-justice program at Channing-Murray and Red Herring Vegetarian Restaurant designed to bring U of I campus and community together to create sustainable solutions to end food-apartheid.

In 2023: Sharing Table does this in two ways:

1. Channing-Murray's Food Pantry serving homeless families in transitional housing with support from Cunningham Township Supervisor's Office

2. Red Herring Free Meal Program: in partnership with Solidarity Gardens, Red Herring gives away free locally grown and made meals at the Friday Free Market during harvest season July-October. Click Below to learn more on the Red Herring website!

pet kits

We are now including pet food and supplies in our food delivery program!

The brand of food may vary from week to week. If your pet requires wet food or has dietary restrictions you can let us know and we'll do our best!

You can also request basic care items like cat litter, collars, leashes, and toys.

If you have a pet other than a cat or dog, let us know what they need and we'll do our best to help!
