An Institute for Indian Performing Arts

In addition to our music and dance instruction, we also provide an outreach service to the Champaign Urbana Public Schools. We lead interactive workshops, lecture demonstrations and instruction to support teachers in the K-12 schools. This provides cross cultural exchange opportunities for all children attending public schools as well as to the larger C-U community.

There are many South Asian children in the public schools in our community as well as students attending the University of Illinois. Our programs not only support them in defining their cultural identity, but also provide an avenue for their peers to experience a rich cultural heritage.

Our Teachers

We have been fortunate to have great support from the Governor's International Exchange Program at the Illinois Arts Council. But this only provides limited funds. Please consider being a part of a program that has far-reaching goals and potential.
